Custom and made to order in Addis Ababa

Custom furniture is common in Addis Ababa. Many workshops build sofas, beds, wardrobes, kitchens and office furniture to your size and design. Some showrooms also take custom orders on top of their stock. A custom piece lets you fit an odd space and choose the wood and fabric. It takes longer, often a few weeks, and the result depends on the workshop. Bring a drawing or a photo with sizes in centimetres. Get a written quote that names the materials, the finish, the delivery date and the deposit. Visit the workshop if you can, and look at work in progress. Pay the balance only after you check the finished piece. The stores below take custom orders.
