Kitchen cabinets in Addis Ababa

Most new apartments and condominiums in Addis Ababa have a bare kitchen, so the buyer often orders the cabinets. Local workshops build kitchen cabinets to measure in MDF, plywood or solid wood. Some showrooms import complete kitchens with doors, hinges and worktops. Ask the maker to measure the room, and get a drawing and a written quote before you pay a deposit. Ask what the carcass is made of, because MDF and chipboard swell near water. Check the hinges and drawer runners, since cheap fittings fail first. Agree on who fits the sink, the worktop and the appliances. The stores below make or sell kitchen cabinets. Call ahead to book a measurement visit.
