Decor and lighting in Addis Ababa

Decor and lighting finish a home. Shops in Addis Ababa sell lamps, chandeliers, rugs, curtains, mirrors, wall art, vases and other accessories. Most of these goods are imported, and many furniture showrooms keep a decor corner next to their sofas and beds. Local artisans also sell handwoven baskets, textiles and pottery that suit an Ethiopian home. For lighting, check the voltage and the bulb type, and ask if an electrician is needed to fit a ceiling light. For rugs and curtains, bring the room size with you. Prices for imported decor change with the exchange rate, so ask for the current price before you visit. The stores below sell decor or lighting.
